The J. Crew shoes arrived today and I A-D-O-R-E them! The heel height is perfect (my dress is a little short on me) and, as God is my witness, they feel like slippers. They're awesome. They're shinier in person than online, but they are still perfect. Rock on. I don't know if I could get myself to return them if I did find some d'orsay heels.
You should see the shoebox. It's fuschia with gold lettering. And it's a very sturdy material. What's up with J. Crew? They so want to be J. Couture.

Gold lettering?
They are really taking it a bit too far. I liked it back when it was the simple box with the hunter green lettering - UNLESS your shoes are part of the "J.Crew Collection," hence a fancier box. Maybe?
(PS. I love your orange shoes - the peeptoe flats, right? My mom and I are arguing like no tomorrow over wedding shoes, and she saw me in these peeptoes that I got in the Philippines with a little bow and heel, she then says, "You should get shoes for the wedding just like the ones you have on now." I just want to be comfortable and I am 5'9 anyway. I immediately thought of those orange peep toes, and thought, "Dangit, shoulda gotten them in white when I had the chance!")

I'm all for comfort - which is why I'm wearing my pretty little flats. Also because I'm tall like a giant.... but, I'm glad your shoes are comfy too!!
Wow, I just stumbled across your blog and am just about to order the exact same shoe, only in silver. Admittedly I like the gold best, but silver is what my wedding dress requires. You can't even see the shoes, but I supose I will know. Did these run true to size? That's what I need to know and then I am placing my order! Thanks so much! And best of luck
