Tempo's Fast, Tag That A*s

I was tagged by my girl Kate last Tuesday, but haven't had time to blog since last week. Here are the New Rules:

  1. Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules on your blog.

  2. Share 5 songs you are embarrassed to admit to others that you like and tell why.

  3. Tag 7 random people at the end of post and include links to their blogs.

  4. Let each person know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

So here goes:

  1. "Boys" by Britney Spears. I love when this song pops into the shuffle when I am doing cardio. I pretend that I'm hot and can dance. And love how Britney gets all breathy. It's comically faux-dirty sexy.

  2. "Stay" by Lisa Loeb. I dare any girl who watched her reality show a few years back to deny having a huge Lisa Loeb girl crush. Apparently, this song is more powerful when blasted through car stereos.

  3. "The First Cut is the Deepest" by Sheryl Crowe. I don't know why I like this song. I tell myself how bad it is AS I sing along, but it never stops me.

  4. "David Duchovny, Why Don't You Love Me?" by Bree Sharp. I actually bought the CD and liked it all. She's a very good writer. I think that she wrote a song about me called "Guttermouth."

  5. "Papa Loved Mama" by Garth Brooks. I went to Purdue and lived with farmers' daughters freshman and sophomore year. This song always made me laugh, which apparently isn't the intended reaction. "Mama's in the graveyard and Papa's in the pen?" For real?

  6. I am doing six since I was late and, therefore, deserve extra embarrassment. "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Ashley. The beat is catchy. What can I say?

I am going to tag the following seven people and hope that they haven't been tagged yet.

  1. enjoy:{the blog}: We enjoy a lot of the same music, so I am curious to know her secret shames.

  2. In This Instance

  3. Lex Said Yes

  4. Life is Reed-iculous!

  5. Tales of a Fermale Husband

  6. A Bride in the Making

  7. a little of this...a little of that

Isn't Andy Dandy?

I was tagged by Kelly at a little of this...a little of that. Here are five fun facts about Andy (I refuse to call him "Mr. with this ring, i thee obsess" on principle):

  1. Andy loves radio. He's hosted two college radio shows. After college, he interned for the Fred Winston Show. He was known as "Olaf the Intern" and danced with Auntie Nell when she was a guest on the show.

  2. He often gets the choruses and lyrics of 70s/80s rock stuck in his head and repeats them over and over and over and over. And over. These performances are occassionally accompanied by air drums. But he only plays air drums with his forefingers and thumbs, like a bongo player.

    Images: iTunes

  3. He watches the Food Network, Food-based Travel Shows, Anything-with-Gordon Ramsey, and Top Gear 24X7 to "unwind." (Speaking of which, he kind of looks like Tyler Florence from certain angles -- especially in this cookbook. My friend trix calls TF "Tyler Andy'sLastName.")

  4. If God takes the First Commandment seriously, Andy may have a bit of splainin' to do at the Pearly Gates...

  5. He has an incredible sense of humor; although, he hasn't left his Halloween costume up to me since 2006, so maybe it's not THAT good...

A2Z Tag

I was tagged by one third of the Wedding Triplets, Chitown Bride, who, I must say, has WONDERFUL taste in bridesmaid dresses. I just hope that the Eva's Bridal Henchmen don't track her down before her May 25 wedding so that she'll get to use them. Ha, Ha.

Tagged Again

I was tagged again by Bridal Cheek and Amanda at Blue Sky Bride! Since I've already tagged six people, I'll just provide nine more inane facts about myself...which is like participating 1.5 more times. (i.e., I am procrastinating on doing the work that I brought home tonight.)

  1. I was going to be named "Lisa Marie" until about a week before I was born. My mom decided that there were too many "Lisa Maries" and selected my new name while watching the opening credits of Gilligan's Island during her final week of pregnancy.

  2. My eldest godson and I share the same birthday...almost to the minute.

  3. Bill Murray is my ultimate celebrity crush. I fell in love with him while watching SNL reruns as a kid and never fell out of love. I spent the entire viewing of "Lost in Translation" mentally superimposing myself into Scarlett Johansson's role.

  4. I don't like the Beach Boys. They don't annunciate when they sing.
  5. I tell people that I have to wear flat shoes because of my stress fractures and knee pain; while that is true some days, the real truth is I've just gotten lazy.

  6. All of my non-inherited furniture is from Target.

  7. I used to write "Tina + Kirk" on my mom's lunch bags because I loved Kirk Cameron.

  8. Joey McIntyre was my favorite New Kid on the Block.

  9. My head is too mishapen for headbands. This has bothered me ever since I saw Elisabeth Shue wear bandanas to the beach in Karate Kid.

Finally Picked for Dodgeball

I've been tagged by Life is Reed-iculous!, who also hates putting away clean laundry.

RULES:
1) you link back to the person who tagged you.
2) post these rules on your blog.
3) share six unimportant things about yourself.
4) tag six random people at the end of your entry.
5) let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs

Here are my six random facts:
  1. I live walking distance to a very nice public pool but drive 15 minutes to the one at the gym because it's only 3' 10" deep. (I am too afraid of deep water to go the close one.)
  2. I don't eat the tips of hot dogs and sausages. Or bread and pizza crusts.
  3. My left foot is almost a half size smaller than my right foot.
  4. I don't like super sweet ice cream or ice creams that have too many flavors, like blueberry cheesecake or cake batter ice cream.
  5. I spend my entire commute to work talking myself out of getting a breakfast sandwich from McDonald's. Everyday.
  6. I can't stand when an elevator door is closing and someone runs up and busts in.

I tag:
  1. Chitown Bride.
  2. Glamour This!.
  3. In This Instance.
  4. Silly Little Mischief.
  5. tying the knot.
  6. A Windy City Wedding.
