Definitely A "Too Much Time On Her Hands" Project

The coat check tags are finished! I hate to say it, but I know that this was a waste of time as the guests won't actually see the cute part. Oh well. I really don't have very many paper opportunities for the wedding, so at least I got it out of my system. I am pretty sure that my friends will call me a "tool" for making these.

Some of the rejects in various stages of tear...

If it weren't for my sh*tty cutting job, they would look cute, huh? I had to force myself not to re-do the ones with bad cuts. And getting them cut professionally is the difference between a $10 project and a $30-40 project. Here's the 4-1-1:

  • Application: Adobe Illustrator
  • Paper: Card Stock
  • Eyelets: Paper Source -- papaya, poppy, and gold
  • String (To be Applied): craft thread from Michael's

Here's one tip that it took me a few pages to figure out -- score the cards before running the handheld perforator over them. Not only do they tear easier, but it's much easier to follow a straight line then it was with the ruler.

A few people posted questions about them last week. I'm happy to help someone out if anyone is interested. You have to do your own cutting though, ha, ha.

Honey, I think you're the ONLY ONE who thinks your cutting/trimming skills are less than fabulous! They look professionally done. Love it.

Kate, I only showed the "good" ones that I made for myself! ;) Let's hope that no guests (especially 1-50) look too closely. Ha. Ha. Thanks for the compliment though.
