I Need This

I am scrambling trying to think of a place where I could use this sign, as seen on etsy wedding.

Above the cake table? Above the guest book table? In the door way as Andy and I leave for the evening? That last one would have to be a fake photo opp, as I think that we'll probably just walk down the street with a bar with everyone else. (I am purse class, no?) It is so pretty. I want one!

The Wedding Whirlwind Begins...

Yeah! Tomorrow is my first bridal shower

My out-of-town girlfriends will be rolling in tomorrow morning. :) I can't wait! There's so much to do...clean up the house, get a manicure/pedicure, pack up my hostess gifts, pick up my dress from the dry cleaners, have lunch with my friend from B-lo. Woe is me. :)

Word on the street is that Andy's mom and aunt were already crying as they were shopping for gifts! My friends will make so much fun of me if I cry tomorrow. That's one of the downfalls of having a smart mouth and swearing too much. You get teased for sappy moments. Ha, Ha.

Have a good weekend! I know that I will! In the meantime, I am going to do everything that I can to NOT sneak a peek at my registries. It's been hard!

My Blogorrhea Has Dehydrated My Creativity

I am too lazy to come up with a clever blog post, but I am going to blog anyway to annoy my sister when she does her monthly "Catch Up on Tina's Blog." (Ha, Ha, Bay-e!)

This is a completely selfish post in that I am only posting this colorful photo of the storefront attached to our wedding venue so that I can steal peeks at it when I'm away from my home computer. Isn't it adorable? We're so lucky!

When we were sitting around the campfire last week, Andy was telling his family how we found and selected A New Leaf. I think that someone's suffering from a case of the Revisionist History! :)

coco + kelley is gettin' hitched!

One of my favorite daily reads, the design blog coco + kelley, is having a wedding contest. Here's the 4-1-1 from her contest announcement::

In true coco+kelley fashion, I am challenging you, (dear creative stylish readers and fellow bloggers) to participate in a little twist on my favorite feature: 'Rooms from the Runway'.

The contest? Take a room and create a wedding. That's right. You heard me. I wanna see inspiration boards designed completely around one of my favorite rooms. To get your creative juices flowing, I've selected 36 rooms in lots of colors and created a flickr set right here.

The contest deadline is August 18.

Jenny Craig Week 7

  • This Week's Weigh-in: +3 (I SHOULD NOT have gone on vacation where there is nothing to do but drink and eat cheese curds. Or where there is a Paul Bunyan! I am so f-ing pissed, you wouldn't believe it. And, sadly, I *did* watch. It was all snacking. And wine. And gin and tonics.)
  • Total Loss: -9.2 (Not even in the double-digits now!)
  • Pounds 'til Goal: 29.6
  • This Week's Focus: Losing 90 Pounds
I deleted my blog folder last week when cleaning up my hard drive and lost my JC table in the process. It will be back next week.

You're Swell

I think that I may be losing creative steam. If my suspicions are true, I think that these cards from Paper Source would be a handsome stand-in as thank you cards for bridal shower gifts.

P.S. The Northwoods are very pretty. But bring a good book if you're hyper because it is Q-U-I-E-T. ;) I managed to finish knitting a Christmas present for someone in the family that was originally intended as a birthday present this past January. Oops. Better late than never, right?

P.S.S. If you want to go to the Northwoods and are afraid to swim or need shallow water for little kids, stay on Little St. Germaine Lake in St. Germaine. While it's deep enough to boat and fish, most of it is waist deep -- I even went kayaking! We stayed here.

The Fine Art of Ruining People's Photos

My friend send me an e-mail entitled "The Fine Art of Ruining People's Photos." I think that I would seriously pee my dress if this happened to us.
