Seeing each other before the ceremony wasn't Andy's preference, but our wedding day schedule wouldn't allow any different. Since the cocktail hour was our actual meal, it didn't afford us any extra time to sneak away.
I met Andy on the balcony of our room. I had intended for everyone to leave the room so we'd be alone, but there wasn't any wrangling of the three-ring circus that was my hotel suite, so I just snuck out to the balcony on my own. Here's my mom peeking out at me through the window:
I am so thrilled that we were lucky enough to be married in the city. Its beauty and energy are ingrained in my soul. I can't imagine any other backdrop for these next photos.
My lip gloss was so fresh that I couldn't kiss Andy without getting it all over him.
