I desperately need to set up a home office in our new condo. Unfortunately, I also need to set up a dining room, a bedroom, and a living room. Since I don't have time to get a second job, I need to prioritize and cut corners be creative where I can, which meant a visit to the Fountain of Youth, Ikea, this past weekend.
While I am hoping to have a cool home office like one of these someday...
I think that I've found an awesome consolation prize -- the Vika Blecket desktop from Ikea has built-in glass for a light table! I can't wait to set it up.
I bought the Vika Artur legs, which will allow me to angle it as needed.

For a second I thought that first picture was your new, green desk. And I was going to have to come over and steal it :) We're in the market for a new one too - the light box model is great!
i recently bought a mix-and-match desk from ikea, too, and i love it. my only complaint is that i'm no good at screwing the legs on myself and it's a tad wobbly. oh well, it was <$100!
Very cool! How is the desktop on size? I'm in the market for a desk and want to make sure I can fit my laptop, a printer and a few other things on there without it looking like a disasterous mess!
