Royal Wedding Banter Amongst the {Real} Commoners
Here's one of my favorite things about this typical Facebook banter:
- Jenni is my classmate from grammar school. I don't recall us being super close in school, but we're practically Facebook Besties.
- Brian left our grammar school in second or third grade, so I don't know him at all. But he's so funny and smart on Facebook, that I wish we were better friends.
- Susan is our best man's sister who I've met twice. She's very nice.
- Shari is my cousin's former teacher who liked our invites. We've talked on the phone and get along swimmingly, but I've never actually met her.

{In the Works} Tie Dye Pillows and Ikat Chairs
I've become bored with our orange pillows and wedding pillows on the big green couch. Hours of e-searching for fabric hasn't warranted anything that wouldn't give Andy a yeast infection (from the girliness) or isn't $40/yard. I've talked myself into these and am now obsessed with them.
From my new Paper Source (i.e. my new retail obsession), of course. I am even considering paying shipping if they're sold out in Chicago. (The Oak Brook store was sold out.)
Speaking of fabric, I've ordered this excellent orange and white ikat to recover our kitchen chairs:

I was so excited to find this fabric. It was *exactly* what I had envisioned in my mind. Unfortunately, it is a trade fabric, but I found an etsy seller who was kind enough to order some for me.

Sneak Peek...
...at a project we finished last night.
Our place may be a little bit disco, but who DOESN'T need a little bit of disco in their life?

Representin'...or Not.
The Chicago poster from Ork has been around for awhile now:
I'm personally digging the city neighborhood maps series from These Are Things.
I've had one in my shopping cart for weeks now, but have yet to click "Purchase." Do I really need a map of what's outside my door?
I love, love, love the world maps from These Are Things:
We need more walls. (Although, Andy would probably beg to differ.)

Mermaid Farts Necklace
Bestill my beating heart. And look at the name.
{Source: ETSY - savage salvage}
Anyone who knows me in person probably wonders how I could possibly so drawn to pearls given my propensity for naughty language and general chaos. I often wonder myself. But I love 'em. The bigger, the better.
I have to give a 15-minute presentation in front of my entire peer organization in April. (Why did I type that out loud? Now my stomach hurts.) I wish that I could hide behind these farts.
As a total aside, Andy recently referred to farts as "Street Justice." I love him.

Mobile Art
One corner of our living room is so vanilla and BLAH! I'm hoping to find some wonderful, street (re: cheap) art while we're roaming the streets of Paris this fall. (I know, right?) Said corner currently holds a tree, but no furniture or ledges on which to rest something; therefore, I'm tossing around the idea of a mobile.

{west elm -- Andy actually nixed the ones from this line. The one I kind of liked is no longer online.)
{more west elm}
etsy artist marco mahler has some really light, affordable options:
Even if I was rich, I can't imagine loving any mobile enough to commit $895 to it...
Thoughts? Too much? Am I even a mobile person?
